How ducks take care of eggs
Usually when the ducks are ready to lay eggs they have to build a nest. They use sticks, grass, and other plants to build a nest. Then they lay their eggs. After the ducks lays their eggs they sit on them most of the day. When the duck sits on the eggs the nest is usually lined right down from the females breast. That keeps the eggs warm, dry and hidden when the female leaves the nest. The female goes to the pond to take a little brake. The longest the female is off her eggs is 5 to 10 minutes. Then she gets right back on her eggs.
